Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is still misunderstood and misrepresented in media and society. These false attitudes result in a lack of knowledge and awareness around the condition. For my final college project, I wanted to harness modern and engaging visuals to create an OCD awareness campaign and resource that could help to break down the illness' stereotypes and stigma.

The core visual of the campaign are the 'OCD shapes' - graphic representations of the head spaces of OCD and how it can feel. Aiming to communicate the experience of the illness to those who haven't experienced it while feeling familiar to those who have.

The branding revolved around hand-drawn lettering and illustrations that give the space a bold and friendly tone of voice.

BREAK THE LOOP* manifests across two main assets, starting with a public OCD awareness campaign that spans across OOH and digital elements - as an initial touch-point, addressing stereotypes and starting conversations while placing OCD in the public's awareness.

BREAK THE LOOP* then goes further, through an OCD 'tool-kit'/lesson plan - targeting a teenage audience to offer initial awareness and aiming to start positive and destigmatised conversations about the illness.

It does this through engaging visuals, and interactive design elements that encourage a familiarity and better understanding of OCD.
